The project included renovations and additions to existing buildings that were constructed in 1988, totaling approximately 59,700 GSF. Construction was planned in three phases.
Phase I included the renovation of the existing two story 25,573 G.S.F. building and will house offices and a small data center on the second floor. A new generator will be installed adjacent to the existing chillers in a new enclosure along the north property line for power back up to the facility.
Phase II included the demolition of the existing single story attached building at the southeast side of the existing two story building. A new two story, 8,977 GSF, building was constructed in its place to house a large break room and training room on the first floor and additional administrative office space on the second floor.
Phase III included the renovation of the front single story building, construction of a new atrium and second floor totaling 25,226 GSF. A large atrium was designed in the middle of the building to create a new entrance and has become the focal point of the project. A second floor was added over the footprint and ties into the existing two story building.
The entire look of the facility has been transformed into a contemporary office building. The existing brick was removed and a new palate of exterior materials: stone, stucco, metal sun shades, storefront glazing and open steel framing members have not only modernized an outdated, distressed and vacant property but created a “Center Court” for Achieva Credit Union to grow their new corporate image for many years to come.
